Schroder ISF Euro Active Value:Qual. Rating Issued

Schroder ISF Euro Active Value is a better fund since it changed managers in late 2007, but it’s not yet a particularly compelling choice.

We have published a new Morningstar Qualitative Rating and Research Report for Schroder ISF Euro Active Value.

"Riitta Hujanen has run this fund since she joined Schroders in Dec. 2007. She was also handed two other European equity mandates and a year later she was given an Italian equity fund to run. Hujanen has been involved in European equities since 1999 and has been a true value investor throughout. We find that her style suits these European funds well, as they have been run historically with a value bias. We’re also pleased that she replaced managers who had stepped outside their areas of expertise to run these funds and performed poorly as a result. However, we fear she may be stretched too thin and note her lack of experience in running a standalone Italian equity mandate."
