Schroder ISF Global Bond: Qual. Rating Issued

We don't think the changes at Schroder Global Bond are cause for alarm, but it’s too soon to say if the fund will be a standout.

We have published a new Morningstar Qualitative Rating and Research Report for Schroder ISF Global Bond.

"Comanager Nick Gartside took sole control of this offering in Sept. 2008 when former manager Bob Michele departed the firm. Michele was involved in forming Schroders’ macro views for the fixed-income teams at large. Gartside has 12 years’ investment experience and is head of global fixed income at Schroders with responsibility for a number of global mandates. He is backed by Schroders’ wellresourced fixed-income team, which helps considerably with forming top-down views. But ultimately, more responsibility now rests with Gartside than under the previous structure. We think he is capable and is developing a good track record, but he only began running global bond money in 2007 so we retain some caution for now. . . ."
