BGF European Growth: Qualitative Rating Issued
BGF European Growth is now Michael Constantis’s own, but our view is unchanged.
"Michael Constantis has run this fund since April 2007 when his predecessor Gavin Corr stepped down. He was at MLIM (now BlackRock) for two years before he took over and had spent four years at Deutsche Asset Management as a telecoms analyst. This means it’s his first stint in portfolio management. Constantis enjoyed the support of Nigel Bolton, head of the European equities team, as his co-manager from March 2008 until he stepped down in July 2009. Bolton remains a mentor for Constantis with whom he can bounce ideas around and also act as a sanity-check, but he’s now given Constantis full authority of the fund. We’re not..."
